Jury duty tomorrow. Endontist next week for an abscess I've had since early January. Not in pain which is good. Today I'm fighting being depression. Not for any specific reason, it's just there. It feels like I never have enough money but who doesn't feel that way, am I right? It's still cold. 34 degrees and it's after 10:00am. It was 26 when I woke up. It's still colder in so many places in the US. I really shouldn't complain. But still, that's cold enough.
Luke Perry died from stroke complications yesterday. He was one month and 10 days younger than me. If I had been 52 when I had my stroke, I'd probably have died too. I guess I am lucky. It's weird to be 52. Someone called me ma'am this week. Younger people see me as old now. That's hard.

Date: 2019-03-05 07:39 pm (UTC)I've been called "Miss" and it feels weird! lol It's like, no one's sure what's proper, so they er on the side of "younger" because our culture is so youth-oriented. It's kinda gross, if you ask me. But I don't like Miss OR Ma'am... Or Mrs. haha I do personally use "sir" a lot, but when I speak to (someone presenting as) a woman, I say, "excuse me" or something like that-- something vague. I should be doing that for every person. After all, I have little idea *who* they really are if I don't know them. It's a new world, trending away from "ma'am" and "sir", and I'm okay with that.
