The long and the short of it.

So... no boyfriend parents this year. Yay!!!

As a new homeowner (okay, I'm not but BF is) he was using a rickety old lawn mower with chewed up blades that had been left behind by the previous tenants.

I spent quite a bit of time raking leaves last fall as we have an apple tree and two huge fig trees. Fig leaves are fairly enormous.

I noticed a neighbor with a lawn mower that somehow made leaves disappear. Home Depot people say that's called mulching!! So I got me a mulching lawn mower this spring. It made excellent work of cutting out grass with barely any effort.

Leaves have started to completely cover our back yard. Yesterday I was going to rake. Then as I was puttoing my shoes on I remembered... MULCHING LAWN MOWER!!!! I'm happy to say that it was sooooo easy. I got all the leaves and left behind a cute yard in about 15 minutes! Very minor effort.

Best $175 I'v ever spent in my whole life.


Woke up this morning and the back yard was covered in leaves again. Ah well. I'll get them in a few days.
